Runes- primary/secondary?
Hey. I was just reading about runes, and I noticed they say usable by primary warrior, usable by primary ranger etc. Does this mean that for you to use a warrior rune, you must have warrior as your primary class? (Ie. warrior/monk) Or, is it possible to be a monk/warrior and use a warrior rune? Any input is appreciated.

hmm... I'll have to change my character then. The reason I was curious about this is because my primary class is an elementalist (for the mana regeneration) and secondary ranger, although I prefer the +marksmanship. Is there a reasonable way to boost my mp regeneration if I were to be primary ranger secondary elementalist?

There are many ways.
Find zealous bow strings Have your elite skill be Marksman's Wager Druid's Armor http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...set-id1000.php Most importantly have a high Expertise and energy (not mp) won't be a problem. |

If the Armor Compendium is still accurate it looks like the Hunter's Set is actually better for both energy and defense. My mistake. |

Hmm not quite sure where to find info on bowstrings, does zealous string steal energy? Increase energy regen speed? Also, you mentioned expertise helps. Does the stat add to overall energy or regen speed? Regen speed is my main focus after learning about hunters set(only needed 5 more energy). Your info is all very helpful by the way valorien, thanks.

1.)This is what "Scaphism" told me in another post.
"As for Conjure: Making conjure work is not difficult. Your weapon needs to do the right kind of elemental damage before you can cast conjure. So if you want conjure flame, you need a fiery bow. (That requires a fiery bowstring upgrade part.) The problem is that the fiery/icy/shocking strings conflict with Zealous Strings, and Zealous Strings are the best mod in the game, hands down. +1 energy on hit is terrific. +1 energy when using Barrage and Dual Shot is sickening. You can actually gain energy when barraging using a zealous string." So apparently Zealous gives +1 energy on every hit. 2.) It doesn't increase your energy or regen speed. Expertise lowers the cost of most skills you'll be using. It may not sound that great, but a high expertise will make a HUGE difference. Refer to this chart. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...sts-id1154.php |

zealous bow string....each hit gives you +1 energy.
As for your expertise questions..it doesn't give you more energy or increase your regeneration rate. It reduces the cost of all ranger skills. (anything listed as a spell/hex/enchantment is not affected) check this link out hereGuides paying particular attention to the articles on Expertise costs....and Energy management. |
